Today is all about getting some perspective on what’s important to you.
Today is designed to give you some space to reflect on the last year and to consider what’s important to you in life.
According to Dr Matthew White of Exeter university, “a brief nature fix of just 10 minutes can begin to lower our stress levels. Connecting with nature can help us feel happier and more energised, with an increased sense of meaning and purpose, as well as making tasks seem more manageable.” Certainly my coaching clients report having a greater sense of perspective when they are outside. “What was a big issue seems somehow diminished in the fresh air.” H Evans, coachee.
Part of being happy and healthy comes from being able to live without tension and spend time on or with the things that are important to us. It creates a sense of fulfilment and achievement. But first we need to know what is important and then how to make sure we pay attention to it today is designed to help you define that.

Go for a walk
Connecting with Spring: The sun is making more and more of an appearance now. Can you take a moment to sit and relax in a sunny spot, soaking up some vitamin D, before you dive into this walk?
Spring is a great time to focus your energies and really go for something. As the temperature rises and springs abundance bursts forth, it’s an opportunity to get your teeth into something. With longer, warmer days comes a sense of freedom and lightness. A feeling of new beginnings. So come on, what are you going to get started on?
What goals do you have for this year?
What can you do to really make a difference in one of them?
What have you already been doing that has been paying off?
Is there anything else you hope to achieve this year?

After your walk, make sure you capture your reflections in your journal and answer the 4 questions above.
