Today is all about considering how nature has, and can continue to resource you.
We are all different and we will all have a different connection and experience of being in nature. Today is an opportunity for you to explore your story and what nature means to you.
There are some questions for today’s walk below this video, you might want to take a look at those then watch the clip below for some stimulus before going for your walk.
Lesley
Lesley Roberts; Just to give you a flavour - your thoughts may be very different and that’s fine. There’s no right or wrong. Whatever you discover will be of value.
Go for a walk
Pick a walk you love - it doesn’t have to be long but somewhere with a nice view or moving water to sit next to would be good. An environment that supports your thinking and reflection. Take your journal to write in if you think it will help (or if you’re my husband, the back of the Tesco receipt!).
Here are some questions for you to consider. If you don’t know or are unsure of the answer to any of them (this is where the gold lies 😊), just move onto the next question and come back:-
What has nature given me throughout my life?
What is my relationship with nature like?
What was my earliest remembered positive outdoor experience?
What made it positive?
Why was that important to me?
In what way could a positive regular connection with nature help me now?
Where are my special places in nature?
Journal
Take some time to note your reflections and critically your answer to ‘In what way could a positive regular connection with nature help me now?’
